NEW PROJECT!!! We are excited to announce the launch of our brand new conservation project in Namibia. The Cheetah Conservation project will actively assist with the ongoing efforts to help conserve cheetahs throughout Namibia. The first volunteers will be arriving in August 2008 and we will keep you updated on their progress.

The new Nkombi Diaries have just been posted onto the website!! Have a read of the exciting recent activities on the reserve in South Africa, ranging from foot patrols to monitor White Rhino to
constructing a collapsible reed hide. They even had time to spend the weekend meeting lion cubs!!

September 2006 saw the introduction of new game to the adjorning reserves to the Game Ranger course reserve. Shumba volunteers were there to assist with the release of both giraffe and hippos and have been monitoring
the animals' steady progress since their arrival.
The Game Ranger course leader, says that they are settling in well. Shumba volunteers have been regularly observing the giraffe on their nature walks twice a week.
